Deckpeck.com

Check out deckpeck.com

Pretty cool, not only can you print anything you want on a skate deck for $50, but you can also set up stores like cafepress, and sell your designs to other people.

Some really great designers like Emil Kozak and NoPattern have already set up shop.

How much money do you make?

“We allow you to choose the price your decks sell for. Everything over 30 dollars, we split 50/50. After you reach certain sales milestones, the split becomes better for you. We recommend you price your decks in the 50-55 range.”

If you’re not a math wiz like me, that means you will make about $10-$12 per deck.

Bukkake Palin

I hate tagging, but I love funny graffiti.

I saw this by my house while walking the dogs early this morning. Went back 2 hours later to take some photos with better lighting, and It’s already gone. The fence is completely re-painted white now.

Truly temporary art.

American Pride

Every time I find myself getting excited that it seems like there’s no way Obama can lose this election (I also thought there was no way Kerry or Gore could lose), I have to remind myself that most of middle America (McCain’s base) is still like this…

I've got a bad case of "The Mundaka's"

It seems like the WCT guys really don’t like Mundaka anymore. Maybe it’s just because the forecast for the contest looks horrible (almost every year), or maybe it’s just too much Paella, but now we hear that not only are the Irons Bros. (and potentially Dingo and Neco) skipping the fabled left-hander, but now White Lightning says his hip hurts, so he’s not going, and The White Fijian apparently got in a “minor” accident on a scooter and has some road rash now, so he “might” not show up. Not confirmed yet.

Nike Zoom Force 1

I had no idea that Nike started making snowboard boots.

Well they have, and this is the Nike Zoom Force 1, based on their classic Air Force 1.

Smart move given the insane popularity of the Air Force 1’s. I wonder if they’re comfortable at all?

Zero Electric Motorcycles

We’ve told you about electric motorcycles before but this one is ready for the dirt. Check out the awesomely environmental ZERO X.

The ZERO X is no toy. It’s a full powered off-road motorcycle with unmatched performance and durability. You can have all the performance of a traditional gas dirt bike, but without all of the noise, pollution and maintenance hassle.

The ZERO X accelerates from 0-30 in under 2 seconds! The Zero’s electric motor delivers over 20 horsepower and similar performance to a 250cc gas powered off-road motorcycle. With an electric motor you get 100% torque at all times for instantaneous throttle response and incredible off-the-line performance.

Best of all, the ZERO X opens up all kinds of riding opportunities where noise is a problem. Get on a Zero and silently cruise through the outdoors landing killer stump-jumps and catching wildlife in its natural, undisturbed, awesome surroundings.”

A Zero motorcycle will produce less than one-tenth the pollution at the power plant than a gas powered motorcycle.

Yeah, they sound pretty great. That’s why the 2008 models are SOLD OUT. Luckily, the new and improved 2009 models are available and shipping soon.

Where to Buy

Zero X $7450

Dr. Martens - MONOTONE Collection - 1480 8 Eye Boot

I used to wear Doc’s all the time in the late 90’s. Now I don’t. But these are still a nice looking design item.

The Dr. Martens MONOTONE Collection is just that, a single color scheme, from heel tab all the way to the outsole. Aside from the color, the Dr. Martens MONOTONE retains all the same features as the original 1480 8 Eye Boot. Available for a limited time only at all chapters of BEAMS across Japan.
