Hi Shredability
Thanks to lat34 I just found out about vbs.tv’s show Hi Shredability. I started watching this episode about Kassia Meador, and then got sucked into watching all of the episodes for like 2 hours. THEN, I realized that VBS.TV (by Vice Magazine) has a ton of other shows that are all really great!
Instead of trying to re-write what they’re about, this is from their website:
VBS is an online broadcast network. We stream original content, free of charge and 24 hours a day. We carry a mix of domestic and international news, pop and underground culture coverage, and the best music in the world. People have used words like eclectic, smart, funny, shocking, and revolutionary to describe VBS, but we kind of just snapped our fingers in their faces and went, “Whatever. Tell us something we don’t know.”
With Academy Award-nominated director Spike Jonze (Adaptation, Being John Malkovich) as our creative director, original content from a veritable United Nations of contributors, and bureaus in 20 countries, VBS has hit the planet in a manner not unlike a massive global plague. Streaming on VBS’s signature “in-room” widescreen and remote, content will be available all the time, on-demand.
So if you have some time to waste, and want to watch some really great shows with minimal advertising (SKIP AD), you should definitely check out VBS. There’s a skate show Epicly Later’d with a great episode on my favorite street skater John Cardiel, and then make sure to check out Shot By Kern.

Fred and Sharon's Movies
The thing about the internets is that sometimes I can’t even tell anymore if this shit is real. I sure hope this is real though, because it’s just fucking awesome.
I’m not getting much traffic to this site so far, maybe it could use a little “jazzing up”...

More Hot Boogie Board Action!

Heavy rain and gale force winds have taken a heavy toll on parts of Britain, but for surfers spongers Lee William and Charlie Thompson, both 21, it was a perfect excuse to head for the sea. Photography student Jacob Cockle, 22, was there to watch as his friends did battle with the waves.
“Penzance never gets waves like this,” he said. “No-one here has ever seen anything like it. I was out there for ages watching the surfers. It is so unusual. Other parts of Cornwall are used to big waves – but nothing like this has ever been seen before. This is as much about extreme weather as extreme surfing.”
As for his friends, a little battered after being wiped out by the might wall of water.
“They loved it. They’re crazy. It was pure fun and games for them.” He said.
Luckily, no one was seriously injured.

Why Didn't I Think of That?
I get so jealous when somebody thinks of an idea that is SO obvious, but for some reason, no one has ever done it. This is a perfect example.
It’s the sugar cube version of Honey. Jeez is that obvious!
From their website:
Have you ever held honey in your hand? Well now you can! Honibe introduces the Honey Drop™, the world’s first pure, non-sticky honey that you can hold. Imagine no more sticky fingers! We recommend using the Honey Drop™ to sweeten your tea, coffee or hot water. Simply stir into your favorite hot beverage and enjoy. One Honey Drop™ equals a teaspoon of liquid honey…without any of the mess!
Listen closely: Tea and coffee drinkers around the globe can be heard clapping…

Istanbul’s 7-Story Underwater Hotel
Visitors to Istanbul will soon have a chance to view the most spectacular ocean views on the planet. A seven floor, seven-star hotel is being built underwater on what was formerly a tobacco factory. There will be exhibition halls, and restaurants, and all rooms will be sea facing.
This isn’t the first such underwater hotel complex in the world. That honor goes to the $500 million Poseidon Hotel which is currently being built off Fiji. The Istanbul hotel differs in that it is being built under the city center, which should make for an interesting experience.
The hotel’s inauguration is set to coincide with the city’s taking over from Linz, Austria as the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010
