Limited Edition Confederate Fighter

Wow. Limited to just 45 bikes, the Confederate Limited-Edition Fighter features a carbon fiber, titanium, and aluminum chassis, with a 64” wheelbase, integrated braking system, 1966c.c. engine, and a top speed of 190mph.

I go 190 all the time around here, so I might just pick one up and weld a surf rack on it. That’d be hot.

Seems like a bargain in these tough times.

Dio Would Be Proud

L’atelier WM is a a group of young artists founded in Paris in 2008. They made these candles cast from real hands. Burn time is approximately 3 hours.

They claim their candles shown above are for sale at colette, at the Black Block of the Palais de Tokyo , at the Printemps Design of the Centre Pompidou and at the Sam Concept store in France but they do not yet seem to be available.

Deckpeck.com

Check out deckpeck.com

Pretty cool, not only can you print anything you want on a skate deck for $50, but you can also set up stores like cafepress, and sell your designs to other people.

Some really great designers like Emil Kozak and NoPattern have already set up shop.

How much money do you make?

“We allow you to choose the price your decks sell for. Everything over 30 dollars, we split 50/50. After you reach certain sales milestones, the split becomes better for you. We recommend you price your decks in the 50-55 range.”

If you’re not a math wiz like me, that means you will make about $10-$12 per deck.

Nike Zoom Force 1

I had no idea that Nike started making snowboard boots.

Well they have, and this is the Nike Zoom Force 1, based on their classic Air Force 1.

Smart move given the insane popularity of the Air Force 1’s. I wonder if they’re comfortable at all?

Zero Electric Motorcycles

We’ve told you about electric motorcycles before but this one is ready for the dirt. Check out the awesomely environmental ZERO X.

The ZERO X is no toy. It’s a full powered off-road motorcycle with unmatched performance and durability. You can have all the performance of a traditional gas dirt bike, but without all of the noise, pollution and maintenance hassle.

The ZERO X accelerates from 0-30 in under 2 seconds! The Zero’s electric motor delivers over 20 horsepower and similar performance to a 250cc gas powered off-road motorcycle. With an electric motor you get 100% torque at all times for instantaneous throttle response and incredible off-the-line performance.

Best of all, the ZERO X opens up all kinds of riding opportunities where noise is a problem. Get on a Zero and silently cruise through the outdoors landing killer stump-jumps and catching wildlife in its natural, undisturbed, awesome surroundings.”

A Zero motorcycle will produce less than one-tenth the pollution at the power plant than a gas powered motorcycle.

Yeah, they sound pretty great. That’s why the 2008 models are SOLD OUT. Luckily, the new and improved 2009 models are available and shipping soon.

Where to Buy

Zero X $7450

Leica S2

Leica has announced a new medium-format DSLR camera and lens system, the Leica S2. The S2 uses Kodak’s 37.5MP CCD sensor with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The sensor measures 30×45mm—56 percent larger than a 35mm full-frame sensor, which measures 27×36mm, and smaller than the 36×48mm sensor found in some other medium-format digital backs.

The S2’s body is dust and moisture sealed, with Leica’s new S-system bayonet lens mount, for the new line of S series lenses. The new line of lenses will feature metal construction and weatherproofing. The S2 body will have a focal-plane shutter and certain lenses will have integrated leaf shutters to allow for the faster flash-sync speeds.

Leica has not announced pricing or availability at this time, although it has been suggested that it will sell for around $30,000

Nixon 2008 LTD Collection

This week Nixon will release a limited collection of one-of-a-kind watches made from original artwork created by celebrities. Proceeds from this unique collection will benefit the Grammy Association’s MusiCares MAP Fund and The Tony Hawk Foundation.

Celebrity contributors were given free reign to create their own works of art via paint pens and hard rock maple for the 2008 Nixon LTD Collection. Their original artwork was carefully cut then hand laid into watch cases and bands resulting in colorful and highly unique watch creations. Custom engraved casebacks which bear the celebrity’s name, along with a stamped serial number, a certificate of authenticity and custom packaging top off the final watch piece.

Now in its 5th year, The Nixon LTD Collection first launched during the summer of 2004 as rare collection of watch bands made from personal leather pieces contributed from musicians, athletes, artists and actors. Previous years’ LTD Collections were made up in part from donated jackets, belts and guitar straps from celebrities such as Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Ozzy Osbourne, Anthony Kiedis (The Red Hot Chili Peppers), Tony Hawk, Pink, Tom Dumont (No Doubt), James Hetfield (Metallica), Slash and more.

Contributors to the 2008 LTD Collection include Fall Out Boy, Milo Ventimiglia, Angels and Airwaves, Silversun Pickups, Danny Way, Ozomatli, Ringo Starr, Jack Black, Joy Bryant, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ryu Nakamura, Tristan Prettyman, and Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx.

The 2008 LTD Collection is limited to select retailers worldwide, including Barneys locations in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. Other retailers include Villians (San Francisco), The Hard Rock Retail Store (Las Vegas), Citadium (Paris), Addicted (Lyon), Stierblut (Munich), Unify (Sheffield), Beams (Tokyo) and Level 3 (Surfers Paradise). The watches will retail from $500 – $3,500.

Swobo Del Norte

My friend just rode by on his new Swobo Del Norte, and DAMN is that one good looking bike! I own a Swobo Otis and I love it, but I think this one is even nicer.

Unfortunately my back hurts too much to ride a bike in this position, so I’ll stick with the Otis, but secretly be jealous of his Del Norte.

Where to Buy

Swobo $739

Is it Thin Enough Yet?

Check out the Sony Bravia KLV-40ZX1M LCD TV ($TBA; December 2008). The 40” screen is only 9.9mm deep and weighs in at only 26 pounds, the ZX1 begs to be wall-mounted, and features 1080p resolution, LED backlighting, 120Hz Motionflow technology for smooth on-screen movement, Bravia Engine 2 video processing, an HDMI input, and more.

But seriously, how much thinner can these things get?
