Wardo Ripping on an MR Twin-Fin

CHRIS WARD from 5'5 x 19 1/4 REDUX

I just got a great deal on a “ridden once” M.R. 1980 model Twin fin, and after seeing this footage (also from 5’5” × 19 ¼” Redux) of Wardo killing it on the same board in pumping surf at Barra, I can’t wait to try this thing out in good surf.

If we ever get good surf again…

Absinthe Films - Ready

I’m not sure how, but snowboarding films just keep getting better and better. The latest one from our friends over at Absinthe Films looks pretty amazing. I’m not sure how much money goes into these things at this point with all the helicopters and travel and stuff, but it’s sure is a testament to how much this industry has grown.

It’s not just the sports that have progressed over the years, the action sports film industry has really blossomed into a hotbed of talented and creative filmmakers.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno - Trailer

Boy is Seth Rogan on a roll! Dude’s making a lot of good movies (and $$$). He was on Howard Stern a few weeks ago, (he was really funny), and let the cat out of the bag that he’s even been cast to star as the superhero The Green Hornet.

Pineapple Express is still in theaters (and it’s GREAT!), and now his next film Zack and Miri Make a Porno comes out on October 31st.

This one was written and directed by Kevin Smith, and I hope it’s as good as it looks, because I’ve had high hopes for every Kevin Smith film since the original Clerks, and I’ve been let down every time.

This one looks promising though, let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Sliding Liberia Screening & Release Party

If you live in the L.A. area, there’s a screening of the film Sliding Liberia at a place called Bolicar Café & Gallery on Saturday night the 23rd at 8pm. Looks like there will also be some acoustic music and food.

I haven’t seen the film yet, but I’ve only heard great things about it.

Archy on High Shredability

It looks like this episode of the VBS.TV show High Shredability has been up since April, but I haven’t seen it, so maybe you haven’t either. It’s about Archy, and there’s 2 parts. Check-em out. Archy’s a Legend, and still surfs insane!

Alan Stokes - The Truth

Saw this over on the Drift Magazine and thought I’d pass it along. It’s like one of the skits that Taylor Steele always does in his movies, only this is funny, has better acting, and isn’t a complete waste of time and money.
