Choke - Trailer

This is the latest movie adaptation of a Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club) novel. I read the book a few years ago, and couldn’t really get into it for some reason, but the movie looks good.

WARNING: There is sex and boobies in the trailer, if you don’t like seeing sex or boobies, don’t watch this.

Surfer, Dude - Trailer

Well, finally, here’s the trailer for McConauKook’s movie Surfer, Dude.

From the trailer, I can barely tell what the real plot of the movie is, so here’s the description:

“Longboarding soul-surfer Steve Addington (Matthew McConaughey) returns to Malibu for the summer to find his cool hometown vibe corrupted. New sponsorship demands Addington to expand into Virtual Reality Video Games and Reality TV. Unwilling to participate in this new digital-reality, he chooses to spend his summer surfing his home break. But in a twist-of-fate, the waves go flat and stay flat. Out of money, his expense-accounts canceled, and betrayed by his buddies, Addington is backed into a harsh corner. He must endure the insanity that comes with no waves or give into “the Man” and his new, reality-altering machines. Aided by his manager (Woody Harrelson), his mentor (Scott Glenn), his guardian-angel (Willie Nelson) and his summer lover (Alexie Gilmore), Addington has a chance of keeping his cool, but it’s not going to be easy. The dude needs a wave, and there’s never been a drought like this.”

What do you guys think? You gonna pay $12 to see it in the theatre?

The Surfer King - Instant Classic

This might be the worst movie I’ve ever seen, and I can’t recommend it enough!

If you surf, own a bong and a DVD player, it’s a pretty entertaining 90 minutes. It’s cheesier than you can even imagine, the writing, directing, production, storyline and acting are all horrible beyond belief, but… that’s what makes it so great!

You can see the trailer here, and there’s a few clips on youtube here, here, and if you want to see my favorite scene (which is the end, so don’t watch it if you want to be surprised) click here.

SYNOPSIS

Seventeen-year old Robbie Zirpollo (Randy Wayne) has a problem. As our story opens, his mother Connie (Lindsay Wagner) is driving him to his new summer job. We learn that Robbie has grown up in Oceanside, California, but now he and his mother have moved to Colorado for a fresh start, as his father has taken the family’s savings and his secretary to Mexico. Robbie’s mom has, through an uncle, gotten him a summer job at Water World on the grounds crew.

On his first day on the job, standing in line to get his uniform, Robbie meets Alex (Ben Ziff), a concessions worker who works for Aokee (Gabriel Iglesias), the manager of “Aokee’s Surf and Snack Shack.” Walking to the front of the line demanding (quietly but firmly) her uniform is Tiffany (Cerina Vincent), the daughter of park owner Mike “Big Mike” Maxwell (Denis Berkfeldt). She is a drop-dead gorgeous girl, and as the owner’s daughter, does pretty much what she wants. Robbie is stunned by her…

Overall, I'm gonna give it 5 out of 5 drops.

The Wackness Looks Good

It’s the summer of 1994, and the streets of New York are pulsing with hip-hop and wafting with the sweet aroma of marijuana, but change is in the air. The newlyinaugurated mayor, Rudy Giuliani, is beginning to implement his anti-fun initiatives against “crimes” like noisy portable radios, graffiti and public drunkenness. Set against this backdrop, Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck) spends his last summer before college selling dope throughout New York City, trading it with his shrink (Ben Kingsley) for therapy, while crushing on his step-daughter (Olivia Thirlby). Famke Janssen, Mary Kate Olsen, and Method Man round out the cast in this edgy, bittersweet, and funny coming of age story.

Point Break: Part Duh

The IESB has uncovered story details from the upcoming sequel to Point Break!

No, its not called Point Break 2: Electric Boogaloo instead it will be called Point Break: Indo.

The original 1991 film starred Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze and Gary Busey and brought in a total box office haul of over 80 million dollars.

There has been no casting news even though the production company is believed to have reached out to both Reeves and Swayze, we also know that the movie will take place Indonesia, hence Point Break Indo, clever.

Jan de Bont will be directing and the production company believes that they will be filming the “most extreme action stunts ever caught on camera.”

So what will the story be about? Here is your first look at the sequels’ synopsis.

When Billy Dalton, military special ops and star surfer, is disqualified from the pro-surfing tour, he takes off for the coast of Bali looking for the perfect wave. While there he’s recruited by a private security force who are trying to find a gang known as The Bush Administration, surfing outlaws and modern day pirates who work like “The Ex-Presidents,” a bank robbing crew from Malibu twenty years ago.
