Mick Fanning Got Married
Mick got married this past weekend to his girlfriend of 2 1/2 years, Australian model Karissa Dalton.
Will this throw Mick off of his game at Bells? What do you think? Planning a wedding is super stressful, and I’m sure Mick’s alter ego Eugene showed up at the after party.

Chris Ward Back at Bells
Wardo, who pulled out of the first event of the year for personal reasons, is confirmed to compete at the the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach next week.
Is he a good Fantasy Surfer pick because he’s embarrassed and got something to prove, or is he a bad pick because he’s embarrassed and he’s not in the right mind frame to win?

"Kelly Slater Gave Me Crabs"
Sometime in between hanging out in Santa Barbara with his girlfriend scoring perfect Rincon for days, and winning the Snapper contest, Kelly managed to find some time to give surf lessons to Hef’s Girls Next Door.
Man does his life just suck.

A.I. Gets a Beat Down
Apparently Andy Irons just got his ass handed to him trying to paddle out at big Snapper Rocks.
One eyewitness reports that “Both his arms were cut and his board was in tatters.”

Who is the biggest snake in the water?
Saw this shot of Shaun Tomson burning Slater at Rincon last week, and it made me start wondering… who is pro with the worst reputation for snaking people? I’ve known Shaun for a while, and I really like him a lot, but he does have a notoriously bad reputation, and has been beat up a lot for stuffing people.
Me personally, I’ve been burned by Matt Moore’s son Ryan the dickhead Moore, more than anyone, ever. The guy has ruined countless good waves for me at Rincon.
So what about you guys? Any stories? Use the comment area, and tell me who has the worst reputation for being the biggest snake in the lineup?

Chris Ward Withdraws from First Event of 2008
ASP World Tour surfer Chris Ward (USA) has relinquished his spot in the first event of the year, the 2008 Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast, to replacement surfer Nic Muscroft (AUS).
Ward, who is currently facing criminal charges after an alleged altercation outside of a bar in Mammoth Lakes, Calif. last month, will not surf the season opener, but plans to compete at the second event on the 2008 tour in Bells Beach, Australia in March. He is also slated to surf in two events of the upcoming Australian leg of the ASP’s World Qualifying Series (WQS).
As per the original statement released last month, the ASP has investigated the matter and will await the outcome of the court case before making any decisions on Ward’s eligibility to compete on tour. At present, no court dates have been set.

Here’s some more info on the Wardo Mammoth story. This Headline was taken from the local Mammoth gossip rag The Sheet. Apparently this all started over a girl that the locals call “Jacuzzi Booty“.
